Former cricketers surprised at selection of Stuart Binny

Former Cricketers like Kirti Azad, Chetan Chauhan and Madan Lal have expressed surprise at the selection of Stuart Binny for the upcoming series against New Zealand. He is not in the list of top 50 batsmen or bowlers in the ongoing Ranji Trophy season.

Chetan Chauhan said, "The selection committee chairman like Srikkanth in the past must come out and explain why he has been chosen ahead of other players who have done so well. The detractors of Roger Binny will raise questions and eyebrows and the selection committee is answerable for this. Gautam Gambhir deserves to be selected as he is among the runs in most difficult of conditions. Our both openers did not do so well in South Africa."

"I am really surprised at his selection. He hasn't done anything great. Is he included because of the selection committee member happens to be his father," asks Kirti Azad.

Madan Lal said, "I do not understand this selection at all. I am really surprised at selection of Binny and exclusion of Gambhir. Selection committee and BCCI are answerable."
